Felt grass playmat

This is a quick and easy one.

I bought 1/2 a metre of green felt from the craft shop.
Cut a shape out of blue felt for the pond/puddle.
Used blanket stitch around the pond but any stitch an be used.
Weefolk has a stitch tutorial at : http://weefolkart.com/?q=node/251
There are white stitch knots in a cluster for the daisies.

It's now ready to use with the eco blocks, or any other toys that take his fancy.
There are so many variations that can be made simply; a stream, paths, stones, etc.

  1. I make felt mats like this for my girls and they love them when they set up their little "lands" in our playroom and around the house. We frequently add playsilk oceans or ponds : )
